Meet JR. JR was introduced to me while crawling on his belly. Three days later, he discovered what love and trust is. He is a very quick learner when it comes to trust and is now in love with his foster mom. JR would rather hang out with his mom than play with the other dogs or even the children. He will entertain them for awhile but then he goes and looks for mom. JR will probably do best in a quiet home setting with someone who is home more often than not. Also a small family, as he is fiercely dedicated to the person or persons who show him love. He is just not much of a playful guy. At least not yet. If you think you can give JR the forever home he deserves, fill out an adoption application today.

If you would like to adopt JR, please contact Michele at doubledogmjordan@gmail.com

Unless otherwise indicated, all Double Dog Rescue dogs have received the following before being available for adoption:

Thorough veterinary examination

All routine annual vaccinations, including Rabies, DHLPP, Bordatella (kkennel cough), Heartworm Test, Fecal Test, Deworming

Spay/Neuter

All dogs are quarantined for two weeks outside of the shelter (puppies four weeks) to ensure they don't break with disease.

If any dog shows any signs of disease or ailment, DDR vets the dog until he or she has a clean bill of health to the best of our knowledge. This includes anything from being treated for Heartworm, Broken Leg, Cherry Eye, Torn ACL, Upper Respiratory etc.)

NOTE: Dogs who were treated for Heartworm can test positive up to 4-6 months after last treatment. All dogs are immediately put on Heartguard/Ivermectin following the treatment to kill the Heartworm larvae. All dogs should be re-tested after 4 months from the last Heartworm treatment.
