My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! My name is Jake! I am a fun little 3 year old 25 pound Cattle dog mix. What the mix is, we are not sure! I kind of look part maybe Corgi or Beagle, or Basset Hound, so who knows! I was surrendered to a shelter when my owner realized they had too many pets. I was never really socialized very well so new experiences can be a little scary for me. I do warm up to new people with a little patience, and enjoy and good snuggle once I trust you. One thing that really helps me warm up quickly is a tennis ball! I LOVE to play fetch and I will play ball forever, as long as you keep throwing it!I would love to live in a house with a fenced yard, but as long as you took me to the park to play fetch regularly. I walk well on a leash, but I occasionally get startled by new things. I am crate trained and housebroken. I do well with other dogs as well as cats. Small children may not be a great fit for me because I get nervous when people move too fast. I am neutered, up to date on my shots, and microchipped.
