Jake's Story...
Jake is an adorable kitten who believes he's a puppy. He weighed on .7lbs the day he came to stay with us. He was so tiny compared to his buddy Elwood, he couldn't even get into his small litter box! Jake loves faces and giving kisses right on our noses, but his absolute favorite is belly rubs! He will just fall over when you start petting him to ensure you know exactly what he wants, tons of belly attention! He curls up for naps in our arms and always sleeps with his head in the air. He loves to camouflage himself behind our dog toys to surprise our labs as they walk by. We routinely find him passed out in random places because he's played so hard, he just falls over wherever he is when he realizes how worn out he is :o) To meet Jake, please complete the application at www.FORrescue.net. To learn more about adopting him, please email info@FORrescue.net. Jake is located in Huntsville, AL

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jake, a Huntsville Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Huntsville, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Huntsville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Huntsville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Huntsville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Huntsville paves the way for another one to be saved.
