My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Spirit...and boy does his name fit him!! He is a 1 year old boy and petite at 40-45lbs. What he lacks in size he makes up in personality and attitude. Spirit is going to need a experienced husky home, or someone with extensive dog experience. He is at that age where he likes to test boundaries, be a bully, stubborn...you know the normal husky stuff Spirit lives in a home with cats. He does chase them, but has never hurt them. I believe with some redirection he could live in a home with cats but that is something that is always a risk. Spirit really hasn't had a chance to socialize with other dogs, so not sure how he will be. He is friendly but because of his hyper puppiness would not be good with young children, especially while he learns his place in the pack. He is not a candidate for a first time husky owner, he will need someone with experience, patience and a firm leadership personality. If he can use you as a doormat, he will He does not have a back yard with a fence, so unknown how tall a fence he would need to be secure. His mom said he is quite agile so he would more than likely need a fence greater than 4ft. He used a tie out briefly, but his time outdoors is spent on leash walks. He is crate and house broken. He's more of an aloof Sibe, not overly affectionate. He will get snarky with you if you make him do anything he doesn't want to, but has never bitten or been aggressive. He will get mouthy when he wants, and that is something his new family will have to work through with him. He hates to be groomed so it's a bit of a wrestling match He has the bad habit of being a jumper around people, another puppy trait that will have to be worked on. He is very smart and will open doors and counter surf. Spirit does have a Sibe sensitive tummy and needs to be on TOTW Fish Grain Free. He is very limited what he can eat that does not lead to irritable bowels. He knows many commands, when he feels like listening to them She has done a lot of NILF training with him and I think it would be good to continue on that road. Home visit, application, contract and $250 adoption fee apply.
