My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Maddie and I am a 1yr or younger super sweet female 10lb Cockapoo that came in as a stray, the rescue worked hard and posted me everywhere trying to find my owner but no one came forward so after the legal wait they decided I needed my perfect home. I came in a matted mess, a tad timid and I wasn't housebroken. The rescue spent 3.5hrs to shave my matted hair off my body and I was such a little angel during the whole process, they were amazed. I looked so cute with my longer hair but there was no way to save any of it but it is growing back in but I did feel so much better after it was removed it was starting to irritate my skin. It took me maybe a week but I have blossomed and I love everyone that I meet both adults, children and dogs my size and smaller, I have never met a large breed dog. I do like when my foster Mom's nieces and nephews come over and play with them and go for actual walks with them sometimes with is super exciting. I would do well with older children and would best be in a home with kids that are 7-8yrs and up so that they do not want to grab and pick me up. I so love running around my yard and playing with my foster siblings and boy do we play and play both outside and inside so if you have another small young pup in the family I may do very well with them since I do like to play a home with an older, senior or dominate pup may not be the right fit for me. I do get along with my foster cat but she is very mellow and doesn't run away so there could be a chance that I will chase a more active cat, I do love to play. I like my down time and love to snuggle with you and at night when it is bed time will climb right into bed with you. My one issue right now is my foster Mom is still working with me on my housebreaking, I do go potty outside a good portion of the time and usually tell Mom I have to go outside but there are times when I come in I will play and if not supervised will make a tinkle indoors, my foster Mom is watching me like a hawk and working real hard with me on this as she is home most days all day. I am getting crate trained to help with my potty training and so that I am use to a crate but I have to admit I do not really carer for the crate and will cry in it, I just want to be where ever you are and they all hope that I will not think of a crate as a bad thing. I am an active little dog as I am a young dog and can be younger then estimated, a new home that someone is home most of the day, that lives in a house and has a fenced yard I do not feel I would do well in an apartment or similar home. I am a great little pup, everyone says I am so cute and the perfect pup but I just need more time and a tad bit more work but I am smart I can do it.. hey I learned sit, paw and now working on rollover.. I need my home to be my forever home and not give up on me like my last family did.. I'm a lover and want to please.

*** Please be patient, we are a very small organization and we all sadly have to work and have families just like you. We also know the excitement of finding a pet that could be your furever family member and we receive numerous inquiries
from other families who feel the same way. Our primary goal is matching the perfect family with our pups and do not practice first come, first serve". We are setting up many meet and greets with our pups and the family could be found prior to you even getting to meet them. We will make sure all potential adopters who inquired are updated if the pup has been adopted. We do not want to waste anyone's time and recommend you keep looking while you wait to hear from us and as always Thank You for adopting and not shopping. ***
Adoption applications will be sent via email only, we do not have them posted online anywhere or on a website.
