Ruby-roo's Story...
***We do NOT have a facility that can be visited by the public. All dogs are in foster homes. If you want to meet a puppy please FIRST go to our website at for the Puppy Application!***

Ruby-roo (the kangaroo as my daughter refers to her) is a 12 week old female Chihuahua mix who was transferred to us from a high hill shelter in Kansas. We know her mom was a Chihuahua but we don't know what dad was. He may have been part Rat Terrier or Italian Greyhound.

Ruby is working on potty training and crate training and can currently hold it in her crate for roughly 6 hours. She is a bit shy at first but once she warms up is very sweet and playful. She is currently fostered with kids, cats and other dogs to help her socialize.

Ruby's adoption fee is $275.00 which includes her spay, microchip, deworming, distemper, bordatella and rabies vaccinations as well as a private training session to be completed after her adoption with our Director and Certified Dog Training Instructor.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ruby-roo, a Loveland Chihuahua/Rat Terrier puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Rat Terrier for sale in Loveland, or seeking a Chihuahua/Rat Terrier puppy from a breeder in Loveland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Loveland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Loveland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Rat Terrier breeders who help with Chihuahua/Rat Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Loveland paves the way for another one to be saved.
