Tanner's Story...
Tanner came to the shelter as a stray. He was found tied to a pole behind a business. We believe that someone did this so that he would not walk into the busy street, and not because he was dumped.

Tanner is a very friendly guy, he enjoys going out for walks, being petted, and playing with toys.

He seems to do well with other dogs, and ignores the cats at the shelter.

If you are a 501 c 3 rescue interested in pulling Tanner, please contact us at hpshelter@gmail.com.

If you are an individual interested in adopting Tanner, please send us an e-mail at hpshelter@gmail.com.

Act quickly to adopt Tanner. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tanner, a Hazel Park Boxer/American Staffordshire Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer/American Staffordshire Terrier for sale in Hazel Park, or seeking a Boxer/American Staffordshire Terrier dog from a breeder in Hazel Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hazel Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hazel Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer/American Staffordshire Terrier breeders who help with Boxer/American Staffordshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hazel Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
