Matty's Info...

I am already neutered, purebred, up to date with shots, not good with kids, and good with dogs.

Matty's Story...
Matty - 5 year old maltese 6 lbs great with dogs/some people/no kids
working on potty training--neutered, microchipped and current on vaccinations

Matty has a delicate, slim build with long limbs which makes him quite the dancer! Matty, who likely came from a puppy mill, is shy and tentative with strangers and in new situations; he relies on dog pals to show him that people and places are safe. So Matty must have a doggie companion in his forever home. Matty thrives on affection and he bonds very closely with his special person; he likes to be held close and cuddled and babied. He gets along fabulously with other dogs; he assimilates quickly and is accepted readily by the canines he meets. Because of his small size and timidity, he will not be placed in a home with children under 12 years. He will do best in a quiet home and would be happiest if he wasn't left alone without his people for long periods of time. Since he not been well cared for in the past, he especially deserves a home in which he will know the special care, companionship and love which he previously lacked. Matty is working hard on learning to 'take care of business' in appropriate places. Adoption fee - $150.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Matty, a Indianapolis Maltese dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maltese for sale in Indianapolis, or seeking a Maltese dog from a breeder in Indianapolis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Indianapolis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Indianapolis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maltese breeders who help with Maltese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Indianapolis paves the way for another one to be saved.
