Angus's Story...
Meet Angus, an adorable 11-week-old puppy who is soft, cuddly, and full of playful puppy energy! Angus weighs a fuzzy wuzzy 13 pounds, and he is super-sweet, inquisitive, and totally irresistible.
Of course, like all puppies, this cheerful, little canine-cutie will need regular exercise, chew toys, and lots of attention, in order to grow up happy and healthy.
If you have room in your heart and your home for this precious puppy-on-the-grow, please contact his foster mom at pdcarson@cox.net or stop by the FOTA Adoption House at 8476 Highland Road and ask for Angus. All dogs adopted through Friends of the Animals are current on vaccinations, microchipped, and spayed or neutered prior to adoption. For more information about FOTA or to make a donation, please visit http://www.friendsoftheanimalsbr.org/.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Angus, a Baton Rouge Border Collie puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie for sale in Baton Rouge, or seeking a Border Collie puppy from a breeder in Baton Rouge.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Baton Rouge already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Baton Rouge breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie breeders who help with Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Baton Rouge paves the way for another one to be saved.
