My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I'm a 3-month-old male purebred Miniature Pinscher. I only weigh about 5 pounds right now, but I've still got some growing to do! I'm the cutest, sweetest, cuddliest, most playful little fellow you'll ever meet! I couldn't be more loving with people & I absolutely adore snuggling with other dogs. I'm also always ready for playtime & I'm super affectionate. I've got such a happy-go-lucky personality, you would never believe that there is a very sad story lurking in my short past. My original owner was going to dump me & my 3 litter mates at the pound, but a volunteer there contacted CageFree to rescue us instead. When we arrived at CageFree, we were not in good shape at all. We were emaciated, dehydrated, lethargic, ridden with parasites & absolutely filthy. And to top it all off, we were throwing up worms & had bloody diarrhea. We were actually in such horrible condition that one of my brothers passed away the very first night. CageFree took us to the vet where multiple tests were done & we were given IV fluids, antibiotic therapy, anti-nausea medication, de-wormers & treatment for bacterial infections. After about 10 days of treatment, we each started to feel so much better & act like happy playful pups again!!! I have now made a full recovery & I'm ready to find my forever family who will take wonderful care of me & love me forever.
