My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Izzy is a sweet little girl who had a successful racing career and is now enjoying the sweet life. It took her a while to settle into her new surroundings, but she now knows the routine and has fit in quite nicely with my grey, Bowie and our two min-pin mixes.

While she does not like to go in the crate, she does just fine in it. She likes our family walks and does well on leash. She also enjoys running in the backyard and loves to shake, shake, shake her toys. In fact, she'll grab and shake pretty much anything made of fabric if it is left out - towels, tee-shirts and socks, for example. However, she is quick to drop it with just a little "sshh" to get her attention.

She does show some signs of anxiety when in "lone" situations. When all her humans leave the house, she lets out a quick, whiny bark to make sure we don't forget about her. She also prefers to be around the other dogs than to be by herself, whether inside or out. She will need another well-mannered dog and/or a human who will be with her most of the day and night.

Come see all of these beautiful, elegant, gentle companions at one of our meet and greets. Check our website www.gpacincinnati.org for meet and greet info and to learn more about greyhounds as pets.
