Katie's Story...
Katie is a 4 year old German Shepherd mix. She is a fun loving girl who loves to be with her people. She wants to do whatever you are doing. She loves to go for long walks, and loves playing ball. Katie knows her basic obedience commands: sit, down, stay, shake, and is crate-trained and house-trained. She's a dog with a solid foundation but would really thrive with consistent leadership. Like any great shepherd, she likes to have a job at all times, even if that means just laying next to you.

Katie is friendly with other dogs, but has less than perfect manners when it comes to play. If placed with another dog she will do best with a mellow male.

Katie currently lives with cats but may be too much for some as she belives they should play with her.

Katie is friendly with people including children, however her ideal home would consist of adults only.

She will do best with a breed-experienced owner. Fencing requirements will be based on location

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Katie, a Rochester/Buffalo German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Rochester/Buffalo, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Rochester/Buffalo.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Rochester/Buffalo already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Rochester/Buffalo breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Rochester/Buffalo paves the way for another one to be saved.
