Butchie's Story...
Butchie may be the "littlest" dog in a big dog rescue, however, his lovable nature and personality is quite big! He is a 6 year old Manchester Terrier Mix and about 25lbs. He is very sweet, great with all dogs (he shares his home with both big and small) and people, including children! He also does get along well with feline friends. He is housebroken, crate trained but can be trusted to be un-crated within the home as he has proper manners when left alone. He enjoys going for walks and will do his infamous "yodel" when getting leashed up to go out for a walk or playtime out in the yard. He is a very low maintenance, easy going guy and would make a wonderful companion to any home! He is quite fond of other dogs so he would be happy to share his new home with a canine friend but also content as the only dog with play dates with friends! Butchie also likes to play ball, will retrieve it and bring it back to you if asked!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Butchie, a Rochester/Buffalo Manchester Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Manchester Terrier for sale in Rochester/Buffalo, or seeking a Manchester Terrier dog from a breeder in Rochester/Buffalo.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Rochester/Buffalo already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Rochester/Buffalo breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Manchester Terrier breeders who help with Manchester Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Rochester/Buffalo paves the way for another one to be saved.
