Update – August, 2014
Louie is a super sweet, loving dog and very choosy with the people he picks. If he picks you, he is simply In Love and there is no other way to describe it! He’s quite smart, and would be well suited to obedience training for anyone interested in taking him. However, being timid, you would have to be gentle with training; he’s very sensitive.
Louie is very happy to relax in his crate (door open) when there isn’t much happening and he stays there at night as well in order to continue house breaking him. He doesn’t have accidents as long as you are taking him out on a regular schedule.
He is timid when meeting new people and may run to his crate rather than say hello but with a bit of prompting, he will come.
Louie is definitely not a city boy! He seems to panic when walking in a large city, searching constantly for an out. However, walking in the ‘burbs, or running at the dog park is no problem. If he gets scared on a walk (due to unexpected occurrences, i.e. a stranger wanting to pet him), he may try to dart so it is very important that he be walked with a halter to avoid unexpected get-aways!
He does well with other dogs and well with routine. If you change his routine he often has a moment of panic and may want to run to his create but with a bit of reassurance, he will follow you.
He is such a sweetheart there is no way you won’t fall in love with him!

Original Bio
Louie is a sweet Peke/Pug boy who is 3-5 yrs [but acts like a puppy] and weighs approx. 15 skinny pounds. Louie is very timid at the present time but once he knows someone he is very bouncy and cuddly. He has came from a situation where it appears that he has not been socialized and we are currently working on getting him adjusted to walking on a leash, going in the car etc. Louie needs a quiet home where he can build his confidence and be appreciated for the sweet boy that he is.
Louis will be neutered the week of May 19 and then he will be ready for adoption.
Louie's adoption fee is $350.
