Maggie's Story...
Maggie is a beautiful 1 year old heeler/shepherd mix. She LOVES other dogs that like to PLAY! She has a ton of energy and would be great with someone that likes to go running or would take Maggie to agility classes. Since she IS a herding dog she does like to herd her foster mom's cats and son- she is not aggressive at all, but for someone not familiar with herding dogs it could be overwhelming. She is food motivated so would be easy to train for a specific job. Fill out an application for Maggie today!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Maggie, a Westfield German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Westfield, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Westfield.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Westfield already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Westfield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Westfield paves the way for another one to be saved.
