Facts about Meadow

  • Breed: Cattle Dog Mix
  • Color: Brindle
  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less
  • Sex: Female
Meadow was at a high-kill facility in coastal GA, slated to be put down due to lack of space. The head of the facility knew Meadow was highly adoptable and couldn't bear the thought of putting her down. She called as many GA no-kill shelters as she could find and all said "no room", except for us! Meadow was driven across the state that very day.

Meadow is an exuberant girl. She's smart, active, friendly and healthy. She tolerates and even enjoys playing with other dogs for a short time but usually ends up not liking them and since she's a herding dog with the chase instinct she probably wouldn't end up on a cat's most beloved friends list so we're going to go ahead and say she should be an only pet.

She was born around April 2013 and weighs 25 lbs. The perspective in the pictures makes her look bigger than she is. She's totally pick-up-able!

Help us write the final chapter on Meadow's great rescue tale.

About Homeless Pets Foundation

About Our Rescue Group...

The Homeless Pets Foundation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization founded in 1998 by Dr. Michael Good, an Atlanta veterinarian who saw a need to create an organization that could assist animal shelters and pet owners in need. In the Atlanta area alone, there are more than 100,000 animals destroyed each year for lack of a home. The Foundation provides critical medical care, food, foster care and comfort to these homeless animals.
