Darla's Story...
Daisy (the lemon agouti//cream/white abyssinian) and Darla (the black short-haired american) are a bonded pair of sisters who must be adopted together.

Daisy & Darla are your typical guinea pigs - they love to play 'catch me if you can' when you go to pick them up, but are quick to calm down and enjoy snuggling with their humans. They both love their daily veggies & hay and just love to be out of their cage running around!

These girls were born on September 14, 2013 so they are only 8 months old. They still have plenty of life to live and would love a home with someone who will give them plenty of attention and affection!

The adoption fee for this pair is $40. All potential adopters are required to fill out an adoption application prior to adoption, no exceptions.

For more info on Daisy & Darla, please contact their foster mom at 574-341-0688

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Darla, a Valparaiso Guinea Pig was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Guinea Pig for sale in Valparaiso, or seeking a Guinea Pig from a breeder in Valparaiso.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Valparaiso already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Valparaiso breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Guinea Pig breeders who help with Guinea Pig rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Valparaiso paves the way for another one to be saved.
