Mckenzie's Story...
Mckenzie (Mac) is a beautiful, delightful light brown Pit Bull mix. Mac is only 1 ½ years old but she has amazed us with her calm, ladylike behavior. On the first day I met her, I opened her cage and she daintily stepped out while I put her harness on her. She gave me kisses and laid her head in my hand. It was love at first sight and that is how everybody feels about Mckenzie. To meet her is to love her. She is gentle, well behaved, and there are not enough adjectives to describe her loveliness. Mac gets along with other dogs, enjoys the company of everyone she meets. Mac weighs just 41 pounds. Please call us at 516.616.3076 or email fofadopt@nyc.rr.com to meet Mac and become enthralled by her charm.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mckenzie, a Oakland Gardens American Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Oakland Gardens, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Oakland Gardens.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Oakland Gardens already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Oakland Gardens breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Oakland Gardens paves the way for another one to be saved.
