Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Kekoa! She is a 3-year old corgi/chihuahua mix who was brought to the shelter by her previous owner with no explanation of why they were surrendering her. She was one of the remaining dogs left behind at NKLA. If she was not rescued, she would have gone back to the shelter and been euthanized the following morning.
She was named Kekoa because it means "brave one" in Hawaiian. When our volunteer first saw her on the stage, she put on a brave face compared to the other dogs next to her despite not knowing if she would be going back to the shelter. This is why she was named Kekoa.
She is a VERY smart girl and loves to snuggle. She knows basic commands and loves to be around people.
If you are interested in this sweet girl, please complete the on-line application as she does not always attend the weekly PETCO adoption event on Saturdays. The E-Mail address is: www.adoptmerescue@gmail.com.
