Riptide's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Riptide's Story...
Riptide was born in May of 2013, he is a young energetic pup! He gets along well with other dogs, has been raised around cats so no prey drive as far as they are concerned. He currently weighs around 70lbs so he is going to be a BIG boy! He already knows back, sit and shake, learning lie down, has a very soft mouth and is VERY smart. He did good with his bath, but needed someone to hold his head so he didn't get too stressed. He does need time to get acquainted to people, places and new pets, if you give him time he will come on his, if you try to force him he gets scared. And bonus this guy is already housebroken!

Like all Mikey's Chance dogs, this dog will come to you from a foster home that has provided loving one-on-one attention, socialization and some basic training, as well as quality food and exercise. For more detailed information about this dog, go to www.mikeyschance.com. To apply to adopt or foster, email mikeyschance@gmail.com. We look forward to hearing from you!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Riptide, a Seattle English Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a English Shepherd for sale in Seattle, or seeking a English Shepherd dog from a breeder in Seattle.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Seattle already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Seattle breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even English Shepherd breeders who help with English Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Seattle paves the way for another one to be saved.
