Jacob's Story...
Hi my name is Jacob and I am a handsome one year old silver gray tabby with the most amazing green eyes! I am very energetic and love to run around, catch a ball and chase the laser light. I like to talk to you and meow when I want something. I don't mind being picked up and held but not for too long, I would much rather be playing. I also love playing with my buddy Sherlock (who is also up for adoption). We have lots of fun chasing each other. People think I am a very entertaining cat. After play time I do like to relax and stretch out but don't be fooled to think that means I want my belly rubbed, I much prefer to have my head scratched. I am neutered and up to date with shots and I am FELV/FIV tested negative. Okay thats enough about me. Now tell me about you. Do you think we could be a match? I am spayed, UTD on shots, and negative for FIV/FeLV.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jacob, a Long Beach Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Long Beach, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Long Beach.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Long Beach already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Long Beach breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Long Beach paves the way for another one to be saved.
