Roxy's Story...
Look at adorable little Roxy! This young lady is about 9 months old & 30 lbs (we don't know how big she will get at full growth) and has had a rough start to her short life. As a baby, she had a broken femur surgically repaired, and 18" of intestine removed due to a severe blockage. This resulted in stunted growth for this little shepherd girl, and it is likely she will need a grain free novel protein diet and probiotics daily for life. Nothing slows Roxy down, though!! She's a happy puppy who loves life!! Roxy would love a home as an only pet where she can lavish all the attention to herself and where her forever family can understand that maintaining her health is a priority! She is high energy, and would do best in a home with an experienced owner and kids over 13.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Roxy, a bridgeport German Shepherd Dog puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in bridgeport, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog puppy from a breeder in bridgeport.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in bridgeport already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a bridgeport breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in bridgeport paves the way for another one to be saved.
