*~* In addition to socialization and exercise outside the home, Tamara requires a home with an enclosed yard that will provide plenty of space for exercise. *~*
Tamara is a female Border Collie/Shepherd mix approximately 2 years in age. She is on the small side, weighing in at 45 pounds full-grown. Tamara has a silky black, medium length coat with gorgeous reddish brown highlights that shine when the sun hits her. She has pretty cream colored markings on her legs, chest, and face. Tamara is neat and tidy dog and is housebroken. She gets along very well with other dogs big and small and likes romping around and games of chase. She is still learning how to play will rely on a doggie friend to show her the way. Tamara was rescued from an overcrowded situation where it was readily apparent that she was not treated well. In fact, we are fairly certain she has been badly abused. Tamara has a sweet, sensitive heart and is extremely passive in nature. She is fearful of people and very slow to trust. She is extremely submissive and shows zero aggression. True to her breed, she is very intelligent and learns voice commands and hand signals rapidly. She recognizes those that feed and care for her and will take tasty treats from your hand in a delicate, gentle manner. Tamara will undoubtedly give her loyalty and affection to an immediate family that she learns to love, trust, and depend on. She is looking for someone who has a gentle touch, a kind heart, and who can be patient with her broken spirit. She is a darling, beautiful dog and a true diamond in the rough. We want the best for sweet Tamara because she deserves to know a normal life full of love and happiness. She is learning how to walk on leash but is still slow and hesitant. She needs to go to a home where there is another well adjusted dog that she can learn from and pal around with. Tamara will not do well as an only dog, or in a home with a lot of commotion and activity. She needs an owner who can spend the time with her and be patient. She will let herself in and out easily with a doggie door or open back door. Tamara is healthy and ready for her new forever home today!
Tamara’s adoption donation is $400 (*TAX DEDUCTABLE). She has been SPAYED, MICROCHIPPED, VACCINATED, DEWORMED, DEFLEAED and PROFESSIONALLY GROOMED. Also included is her collar with ID, harness, leash, folder with all of her records, a great PETCO coupon book, and a fun goodie bag with toys, etc
