Here's what the humans have to say about me:
When we heard that Plato was surrendered into a shelter...it was difficult to believe. We had to remind ourselves that even the greatest dogs sometimes don't get the wonderful and loving homes that we wish for them. Farfel's immediately responded to the need for a forever family for this exceptional little guy. Plato has the sweetest face ever...with the shining black and white colors that light up this gentle guy and you can't help but rest your cheek against his cotton-soft belly. He's so kind and sweet and open to any handling...he trusts that humans will be gentle with him. At a huggable yet sturdy 20 lbs and right around 3.5 years old.. Plato is at a perfect point in his life - he's old enough to be beyond all babyish behaviors, yet he's young enough to have many, many years ahead as Pugs can live with loving care to a ripe old age Plato desires a family that will give him lots of attention...he thrives on love and cuddling. We don't believe that Plato will be happy in a home where he's alone for long hours... therefore we're searching for a retired couple or individuals who enjoy spending lots of time with a furry companion. A younger family would also be fine as Plato enjoys gentle kids...but they would need to spend lots of time at home or choose to bring Plato along. He's such a portable and low-maintenance pup that it would be easy to include him in almost any activity. He enjoys long walks and the company of respectful dogs...no fear in his being aggressive or difficult - he wants desperately to please those that he is bonded to. Plato might be a bit shy initially but as his adorable personality emerges...he's a very fun and silly guy. His foster human siblings (ages 12 and 14) love to include Plato in fun with their friends...they say they enjoy his antics so much that it makes them more popular! Plato is a very light shedder and therefore requires periodic grooming and great nutrition to keep his gorgeous coat shining.
Farfel's is thrilled to be welcoming Plato to Colorado on 5/18. Applications are currently being accepted for this exceptional and snuggly companion.
