Here's what the humans have to say about me:
When we are asked about a rescue that is not only adorable..but very fun-loving and SO sweet, we immediately come up with Anders. His smile is shining...and maybe just a bit mischievous. This curious and really, really smart 8 month old, 12 lb Doxy mix is a truly devoted and kind companion. Even though he's up for pretty much any activity, he's never pushy or yappy. Exercise and mental stimulation is important to this guy to keep him happy and well-behaved... it's not that he requires extensive amounts, just enough to keep him healthy and stimulated. Since Anders loves kids and other dogs, an active game of fetch or general horse- play in the yard... or a long walk with his family would be just right for this social guy. He derives so much joy from his interaction with others, we would love to see him in an active family that just loves him dearly. He's a great pup who deserves this in his life. Once he truly bonds (it doesn't take very long at all), Anders loves to give nose kisses and big hugs to his favorite people. He feels so deeply and is forever patient to get attention... sometimes he will gently place a paw on his person's arm as if to say, "I'm here and I love you". This adorable and humorous Doxy (with maybe a touch of another breed in there, but we have no idea what it would be) may shed ever so lightly...but if so...periodic baths with a great brushing will keep any hair loss to a minimum. Alex will require great nutrition to keep his gorgeous coat shiny and cotton-soft.
Anders will be transported to Denver on 5/16. Applications are currently being accepted for this fun-loving and very devoted companion.
