My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mila is a smart, sweet and very resourceful little cat. She survived the cold winter of 2014 all on her own on the streets of the Upper East Side. She found a little wooden house in the schoolyard of PS 6 and stayed in it to keep warm. Rescued by our volunteer, this adorable calico girl is happy to be safe indoors but she is still longing for her forever home. She likes to sit next to you on the couch, sleep at the foot of the bed, or just hang out in the same room as you. Once she's comfortable with you, Mila likes to be petted and picked up on her own terms. She’ll meow for attention when she wants it, and she purrs like crazy when she’s happy. The windowsill is her favorite place. Mila gets along well with other cats and was a loving mom to her 5 healthy kittens, who have all been adopted. But this low-maintenance, easy-going sweetie would also enjoy being your only cat. Can you give her the home she's been waiting for?
