My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Chop needs a new foster home IMMEDIATELY!! His current foster mom has a family emergency to take care of in New York. Chop is a great dog, really really sweet. He is a 5 year old yellow lab / staffordshire bull terrier mix. He was rescued from the North Central Animal Shelter, where he would have euthanized having been there for a year. He is so happy to be out of the shelter and in a home with someone to love him. He is an extremely people oriented dog, very affectionate. Chop would love to be a lap dog, if only he could play and snuggle at the same time! Honestly, he just wants someone to love and to be loved back. He is also very very smart: he was house-trained after only 1 day, and he learned the sit command in about 2 days. He really loves to learn and to please. Chop's a strong dog, so he may not be best suited for a home with toddlers, however he loves kids and would be great in a home with children ages 8 and up. He has lots of energy and patience so he could keep up with endless games and playtime. He is great on the leash, and he loves taking walks and exploring the neighborhood. He is also great in the car, perfectly content to sit in the back seat with a toy. Please help Chop find his forever home! He's a wonderful sweetheart and his foster mom is sad to say goodbye.
