My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Molly is a beautiful, calm, gentle 8 year old Weimaraner female. She has had a hard life. Rescued, we are searching for a loving home where she can spend her last years. She was with a family in WV who didn't have time for her and was arranging to take her to the local pound. They neglected her, leaving her in a crate for a dog half her size. This cage was awful, she had to crawl in and could not turn around or stand up. Our friends who live in an apartment with their own 2 dogs & cats, intervened. At the moment Molly is safe, but still needs a permanent loving home. Although a wonderful girl, she can't stay with the couple who rescued her. They travel alot and bringing two dogs is challenging for everyone. Yet a third makes it a bigger burden to stay with friends or family Molly has been taken to an off lead park almost everyday. She plays well with whoever she encounters and is fine with children. Although somewhat slower paced, she still has enthusiasm and an energy level. Playing when appropriate, but is a couch potato most of the time. She does truly enjoy going to the park and playing with new dogs. Outdoors, she has excellent obedience. She comes when called. She has not tried to run away. Indoors she is potty trained. She would be perfect for a retired person who wants a potty trained - crate trained dog. Someone who can give her the attention she craves. She pretty much enjoys everyone and everything, now that she has some freedoms. We've placed her on better quality food. Her gray coat is looking gorgeous - less fuzzy. The only other thing to note with her is because the cage they kept her in, was SO small- her back seems to stoop a little. This does not seem to bother her. She is up to date with vaccines and is spayed. Vet records will come with her. History: A few years back she apparently had an episode of bloat - stomach torsion. This was corrected and stomach was tacked. She has not had any other problems with torsion since then. We do elevate her food, when she eats and add warm water to it. Molly truly is a sweet, beautiful girl!
