My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Titan is a gorgeous White German Shepherd that is about 2 years old. He should have been casted on 'Game of Thrones' as a Direwolf! Titan's size is true to his name and his ideal weight is 90+lbs, though he is currently underweight and working hard to put on the pounds! We know that at some point he was hit by a car and operated on to correct the damage to his pelvis before he ended up in a shelter. He is being treated now with medications for his joints and a daily pain medication, and with this treatment, you would never guess he had any physical issues at all. He is an energetic boy who loves to run and play and tease his foster sisters. Titan's last foster family had 4 children from babies to teens and he was very gentle and would be a great companion for a home with kids. He is a smart boy who is house trained, crate trained and knows his basic commands. He gets along well with dogs, but can be rough so sturdier dogs would be a better fit for him, though he is confident enough to be the only dog in the home. He is curious about cats and shows no aggression, but a bit too rough and will chase them if they run. A home with a cat that is dog savvy may work if the adopters can supervise and introduce them slowly. Titan has no idea how big and strong he is, but his intentions are good! He listens very well, comes when called and is very attune to human body language (like when his foster mother is cooking and points for him to leave the kitchen and quit begging!) He is food motivated, takes treats well and does not guard his food from other dogs. He rarely jumps and listens when he is told not to, but it is hard to contain his excitement sometimes! He loves to go for walks and is wonderful on a leash when he is walked alone. He is friendly with everyone, great in the car, and loves to lick and have his back and belly scratched. Titan would prefer a fenced yard where he can safely run and play and an active family who will include him in their daily activities. Don't think his injury has slowed him down, this boy would love to be paired up with a runner and hiker, and he promises to keep up! Before he started the treatment he was limping and appeared to be in pain, and he deserves a family that will continue to provide the medications that have given him his strength back. Titan is currently being fostered in NH and is up to date with vaccines including rabies, is neutered and microchipped. ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED. CONTACT US AT 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.com
