My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Cat-Tale of Jamie & JoJo: Both kittens were born in about June 2, 2007 [JoJo is about 3 weeks older than Jamie]. They were rescued from the Humane Society 16 hours before they were to be killed. A rescue was working with a home owner who wanted to do TNR[Trap, Neuter, Return] of the stray, feral cats in his yard. There were about 2 adults, 3-4 one year old kittens and 10 kittens born this year. Upon trapping the owner decided it was easiest to take them to the Humane Society, instead of doing what is right for the cats. Upon learning this, the rescue pulled out and rescued the kittens from being killed.
Jamie [Gray kitten] and JoJo [Black kitten] are both females. Both are negative on FIV/FeLV tests, current on vaccines. Both are dewormed, treated for earmites and microchipped.
JoJo is a playbaby, VERY affetionate but cautious of NEW people...in time she warms right up and is very comfortable with her surroundings. JoJo loves to be the one to soothe you to sleep. Jamie is a luv-bug - kissing on you, purring, rubbing on your legs and playing hard.
Please consider adopting these 2 kittens as a pair, they've been thru a rough time and know no one but one another,

We always take the cat back. It may be one year, three years or ten years down the road... we want the cat to have a home. Whether it be due to moving, allergies or something else. We're in it for the cats.

At Cat-Tales Rescue we offer the option of Microchipping your cat, if not already done so [we've just started to do it the summer of 2007 and have it done when they are spaye/neutered. IF they are not already done they can be done for a fee of $12. We give you all the necessary paperwork to register them with 24-Pet Watch. We offer a discount if adopting a pair of kittens/cats. Each cat[under 3 yrs of age] or kitten is $75 to adopt......if a pair of cats/kittens are adopted at the same time it is $65/cat [under 3 yrs of age] or kitten. Cats over 3 yrs of age are $55. Owner relinquished cats are $55.

All of our animals are tested for FIV/FeLV [if they are kittens the mom is tested and we strongly suggest the new owners have them tested when they are 6 months of age, as a guideline for the cats health]. All are spay/neutered, vaccinated [if adopted before the age at which their rabies vaccine can be given (3-4 months of age) it is the owners responsibility to get them their vaccine]. We also treat them for earmites, roundworms/hookworms and if necessary protozoa and giardia. We give you all the baby photos we have. We also give you their favorite toys and some catnip. We have lots of information available in handouts if there is a subject that you have questions about [we use very well known internet sites on cat care]. We are always available should any questions arise. We offer cedar scratching posts that all of our cats use, we also have nail clippers that are at our cost. Trimming a kittens nails when they are falling asleep is the best time. It is just a matter of getting them into the habit a couple times/month of having it done.
