Benson's Story...
Hello, my name is Benson. My mom says that I'm a big boy in an itty bitty body. I've had a tough life - when I arrived at my mom's house she said I was the tiniest bag of bones she had ever seen. She said she didn't know it was possible to have skinny little toes like I did. I was starved, sick and had just been shaved down to see what breed of dog I even was. Mom said it was a horrible hack job of a shave but she was glad to be able to see my darling little face. Since I arrived I've gained weight and I look healthy again - and I'm all better.

Benson is a sweet boy that loves to cuddle. He loves to be with his person and will follow you like a little shadow.

Benson does get along with other dogs but should be the only dog in a home. He likes to be the center of attention in his parents life. He doesn't pay much attention to cats although he'll give playful chase. Benson can be placed in a home that has children 13+.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Benson, a Greensboro Shih Tzu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu for sale in Greensboro, or seeking a Shih Tzu dog from a breeder in Greensboro.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Greensboro already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Greensboro breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu breeders who help with Shih Tzu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Greensboro paves the way for another one to be saved.
