Dante's Story...
Name: Dante
Color: Black and White Tuxedo
Breed: Domestic Shorthair Cat
Gender: Male
Age: 1 Year 3 Months
This is Dante! Dante is an active and confident young guy looking for his forever home.
Big fan of: Dante loves to play, especially with feather wands. He is very affectionate and is desperate for attention!
Dream Home: Being the confident cat that he is, Dante could live with a dog but would prefer to be the only cat. Dante plays too roughly for most cats and would end up being quite the bully. He would do best in an adult only home, but could live with children 12 or older who will not try to pet him when he is getting overstimulated.
Special Features: Dante can get overstimulated at times and gives "love bites". This can be avoided by not petting him roughly and providing him with lots of toys and playtime.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dante, a Bellingham Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Bellingham, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Bellingham.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bellingham already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bellingham breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bellingham paves the way for another one to be saved.
