Barristan's Story...
Name: Barristan
Color: Black and White
Breed: Domestic Shorthair Cat
Gender: Male
Age: 1 Year
Barristan is a sweet and playful young man looking for a loving forever home.
Big fan of: Flopping over onto his back to have his chest and chin rubbed. He is an easy going boy who would love a little bit of playtime followed by a nice, relaxing nap in the sunshine or in his owner's lap. Barristan would thoroughly enjoy a tall cat tree that he can perch and scratch on when he is not following you around for pets.
Dream Home: Barristan wouldn't mind living with other cats and is confident enough for a cat-savvy dog. Children would also be fine for Barristan, so long as they know enough not to pull his tail too much.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Barristan, a Bellingham Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Bellingham, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Bellingham.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bellingham already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bellingham breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bellingham paves the way for another one to be saved.
