Grover is one adorable little guy! He was found in a dumpster! Who would do that to such a love bug. He loves to rub and get head rubs. Grover is a Velcro Dog. He will be a great cuddler. He makes cute noises when rubbed in just the right place. Gover will give you puppy dog eyes. Grover wags his tail so hard his little butt wags goes back & forth. He likes squeaky toys. He really wants human contact. He will engage other dogs to play with him. He loves to roll in the grass. Unless otherwise indicated, all Double Dog Rescue dogs have received the following before being available for adoption:
Thorough veterinary examination
All routine annual vaccinations, including Rabies, DHLPP, Bordatella (kkennel cough), Heartworm Test, Fecal Test, Deworming
Spay/Neuter
All dogs are quarantined for two weeks outside of the shelter (puppies four weeks) to ensure they don't break with disease.
If any dog shows any signs of disease or ailment, DDR vets the dog until he or she has a clean bill of health to the best of our knowledge. This includes anything from being treated for Heartworm, Broken Leg, Cherry Eye, Torn ACL, Upper Respiratory etc.)
NOTE: Dogs who were treated for Heartworm can test positive up to 4-6 months after last treatment. All dogs are immediately put on Heartguard/Ivermectin following the treatment to kill the Heartworm larvae. All dogs should be re-tested after 4 months from the last Heartworm treatment.
