J.D.'s Story...

JD is a huge hunk of kitty!! His dark orange amber fur is unlike any you have seen in a long time! He is front declawed and an indoor kitty only. He is very shy at first, but blossoms as soon as he is out of his cage. He is super loving and LOVES to be brushed. He was abandoned by his owner and left at a rural shelter. We saw how gorgeous his face is and what an awesome kitty he can be with the right home. He has big tufts of fur between his toes, and a tail almost and big as fluffy as he is.

Come meet him and give him the forever home he will flourish in. A cage is no place for a big ole guy like this!!
J.D., Maine Coon & Domestic Long Hair Mix has been shared from Shelter Exchange.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

J.D., a Fort Worth Maine Coon cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maine Coon for sale in Fort Worth, or seeking a Maine Coon cat from a breeder in Fort Worth.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Fort Worth already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Fort Worth breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maine Coon breeders who help with Maine Coon rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Fort Worth paves the way for another one to be saved.
