My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Born approximately May 2013, Elmo is a long haired neutered male who currently sports a short haircut. An adopter should expect regular grooming expenses or become handy with a brush and scissors to prevent matting. Elmo was severely matted when he entered the Petsaver NC rescue program. A photo of him before his hair was cut is shown as a reminder to potential adopters that long haired dogs require regular grooming. He enjoys car rides, leash walks, and is crate trained. Elmo tested negative for heartworms and has been neutered, vaccinated, and dewormed. He warms up faster to women than men, as many dogs do. He may or may not be cautious at first with strangers, per his breed description, but warms up when properly introduced. Email petsavernc@bellsouth.net for an application.
