MONTANA-pending's Story...
This sweet girl arrived on May 17th weighing in at 10 pounds, she is approx. 10 weeks of age. She is super sweet and adorable with her white dipped toes. She is driven by praise rather than food so far. She has followed me where I go and likes to watch what I do rather than beg for attention. This sweet love bug is really great at amusing herself with toys or her own tail! Her favorite games are chasing her tail and tossing toys around then retrieving them. She is happy to go in and out of her crate freely and chooses to nap in the crate even with the door open. She is absolutely heartwarming and loves to cuddle in my lap. She slept soundly in the car on the drive home and was tolerant of a warm bath once she realized she was safe, but still tried to jump out of the bathtub from time to time. This may have been her first bath and she did quite well for a young baby that did not understand what a bath was. She had a few minor accidents in the house, as to be expected with a pup, but very much enjoys being outside so I don't suspect any trouble with housebreaking. Overall, this is a wonderful pup full of love and gratitude, she will make for an amazing addition to any family.

UPDATE: Montana is doing great. She is getting along really well with people and with my dog. She bounces around him when she wants to play even though he doesn't reciprocate. When they were first introduced she was nervous and submissive but quickly learned he will not harm her and could be a friend. Now she follows him around and is interested in everything he does. She is becoming very independent she simply plays with her toys when no one is paying attention. Also, she loves laying out in the sun and napping.

UPDATE: She is doing really well has learned to pee outside or on weewee pads. Really loves to cuddle and play. She has been great sleeping through the night. I feed her three times a day and only leave it until she walks away which has worked really well with getting her used to set times and eating as much as she needs rather than returning to it over and over. Why Adoption is a Great Option

MONTANA-pending, a West Milford Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in West Milford, or seeking a Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in West Milford.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in West Milford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a West Milford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in West Milford paves the way for another one to be saved.
