Indy's Story...
My brother Sondro and I are super sweet guys! We are about 8 years old and have been together all our lives. We lost our home of 5 years due to unfortunate circumstances. We do ok with other cats, but would love to be your only pets! We are not lap cats, but we love to get petted and hang out nearby. We have learned to tolerate our foster mom's hugs and kisses!

CatNIP has cats for adoption at the Petsmart on Baltimore Pike in Springfield every Saturday and Sunday from 11 am to 3 pm. Come out and visit to learn more about this life-saving organization.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Indy, a Springfield Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Springfield, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Springfield.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Springfield already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Springfield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Springfield paves the way for another one to be saved.
