"Grommet"'s Story...
"Grommet" is a adorable neutered male 12 pound, 17 mo. old,Norwich terrier mix. He has Easter Bunny ears and is the cutest sweetest dog. Grommet loves the grass and is semi active, and will require a semi active adopter. He is very sweet & easy going with the calm demeanor. He is submissive and a little training will go a long way with Grommet. He is seeking a family or person who will engage is daily routine walks and teach him the basics through positive training. Grommet was found as a stray in Bakersfield CA wandering the street with his brother. Both were taken to a very high kill shelter. Our rescue saved dogs like Grommet before they are euthanized. Grommet likes playing with other dogs and people and is up to date with vaccines and micro-chipped.
Bandit was rescued from a high kill shelter in CA hours away from euthanasia. We don't know his whole history, but we do he can be a little shy of men and takes a little bit to warm up to bu once he does, he is your buddy. Bandit would make a great companion dog in a home that is fun and easy going & routine. He is a active young dog and not a dog you can leave for 8 hrs alone in apartment or house. If you are away from home 8 hrs a doggy daycare or dog walker must be a plan if interested in adopting Grommet. This must be a part of his routine to keep him happy. A ideal home would be a home with another small dog to play with & a easy going family with dog friendly, calm or no children. A fenced yard or active apartment condo dweller is desired. Basic obedience training is encouraged to establish recall & bonding between the adopter & dog. Basic grooming needs are nail trims, bathing & brushing and annual routine vet checks.
Bandit found himself in a high kill shelter by no fault of his own. CA euthanize's 800 good dogs per day! 6 dogrees focuses on saving good dogs like Bandit to give them a second chance. We fully vet them and re-home them into forever homes. Our promise to these dogs is they will never end up in a shelter again Adoption application & home check are required.
