My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet "Meep" of "Meep and Peep." They are 2 very special kittens who have had a very hard start in life. They were initially found by their previous owner as 5 week old kittens and kept in a basement where their food and water was intentionally withheld. Both kittens were also suffering from very severe upper respiratory infections and were left untreated. Due to a lack of veterinary care, the infection has permanently affected their eyes. One of our employees heard about these poor kittens and their awful situation and ran to their rescue. They have since resided here and been given lots of food, water, medical attention, and TLC. While they have been vetted to the best of our ability and their upper respiratory infections have been treated, their eyes have been severely damaged and neither kitten will ever be visual. It is our hope that special someone with a caring heart would be willing to take both kittens and give them a home together. They have been each other's best friend since day one and it is clear in their everyday interactions that the bond they share is truly special. They cuddle, purr, and play with each other like any other couple of kittens so don't let their disability fool you! They are still very lively and active kittens who rough house and play hard just like any other kittens. They are extremely affectionate and love to be held and pet. While we would consider separate homes for these little ones, it is our hope that they will be able to be adopted together so that they may provide companionship for each other. They have relied on each other for everything since the very beginning and feel it would be heartbreaking to them to be separated.
