My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hattie was rescued from the shelter in January, 2014. She is a bit shy and was really frightened by all the activity in the busy shelter. When she is afraid, she likes to hide in her crate and it was pretty hard for the visitors to see her true personality. She is patiently waiting for the just right home.

Although she is shy at first, once comfy, she is super sweet, playful and affectionate. She will need a patient home that will give her a few days to adjust. She follows the lead of other dogs and learns best from them so her perfect home would be one with another playful dog.

Hattie is only just learning to walk on leash and sometimes gets very frightened out in the big world. So she also needs a home with a yard, even a small one so that she can have that safe one to play with her doggy brother or sister and do the necessary business. With practice and in the presence of her trusted human(s) and doggie pal(s), she will learn the leash walks eventually but in the meantime a yard is essential for her.

Hattie is about a yr old and 25-30lbs ..what a great size! She is house and cratetrained and is super smart!

Hattie is a super cute and funny little girl. She likes to play "shy girl" but once she comes out of her shell she is a clown!! She has the cutest face and her one ear permanently stands up. She loves chewing on her toy and running laps in the back yard. She is approx. 1 year old, spayed, micro-chipped and up to date on her shots.

Please email right away if you would like to learn more about this dog. Adoption fees range from $150-$250 for dogs.

THE DOGS SHOWN ON THE SITE ARE IN FOSTERCARE - WE DO NOT HAVE A SHELTER TO VISIT. EMAIL is the best way to reach us.We are a volunteer run, very small organization - so please be patient when waiting for a response, but feel free to check back in if you haven't heard from us in a day or so - thank you so much for considering a rescued pooch!
