Mimi's Story...
Please contact Judy at judythump@sbcglobal.net or 913.383.1584 to find out more about MIMI. Mimi goes to off-sight adoptions at the Petsmart Store at 115th & Metcalf. Mimi is a sweet loving 2 year old brown tabby female who is very gentle and loves to be petted and stroked and jumps on and off her foster mom's lap. Mimi is currently a bit insecure as she has lost 2 homes within the last 2 months due to no fault of her own. The first home due to allergies of the owner's new boyfriend and the second home due her college age new owner's change in school plans to living in a dorm. Mimi is still youthful and playful. She is okay with dogs and other cats if they are willing to give her space to adjust and who will not expect to be best buddies. Mimi does have beautiful eyes but the flash of my camera was too much.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mimi, a Overland Park Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Overland Park, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Overland Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Overland Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Overland Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Overland Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
