Mello's Info...

I am already neutered, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and not good with cats.

Mello's Story...
Mello has not been given a fair chance in his short year and a half of life. His owners bred Pit Bulls and this is the result of irresponsible people who don’t care about the consequences. Mello was headed to the ACC when Road to Home Rescue Support intervened. Since then, he has been in boarding and has started to lose faith and become depressed. He is spinning in his cage, chewing the floor, and crying all day in his run.

Mello is a gentle giant who gets along well with other dogs but has no experience with cats. He loves people and is extremely affectionate! At a recent adoption event, he greeted everyone with hugs, kisses and wagging tail.

Please help us find Mello find his forever home and prove to him that we will not give up on him like his owner did!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mello, a Wantagh Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Wantagh, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Wantagh.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Wantagh already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Wantagh breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Wantagh paves the way for another one to be saved.
