Mollie's Story...
Mollie and her 5 pups were brought into a kill shelter in Eastern KY when they were saved by Almost Home. All pups have left the nest now it is Mollie's turn. We think she is about 2 years old. She is super smart and sweet! Good with dogs, cats and all people. She is truly amazing!! She has a slight limp from an old bone injury. She would make anyone a wonderful family member. She is truly one of the most remarkable and appreciative furkids I EVER met!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mollie, a Hazard Australian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd for sale in Hazard, or seeking a Australian Shepherd dog from a breeder in Hazard.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hazard already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hazard breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hazard paves the way for another one to be saved.
