Kami's Story...
5/23/14: KAMI HAS BEEN ADOPTED! Kami is an adorable black and white shih tzu/terrier mix who is approx 2 years old. She is a bit shy when she meets new people but craves human attention and love. She warms up quickly to get it! Kami gets along well with other small dogs and doesn't seem to mind cats. We would recommend older children for Kami although she seems to do well around most people, even smaller children. Kami was a stray that no one claimed so the lady who found her contacted us to find her a permanent, loving home. Because she was a stray, we do not have any information about her previous history. Kami will make a wonderful companion for any home and would make a great travelling companion as well. Kami deserves a great life with someone who will love her forever! Kami has been spayed and is thoroughly vetted. Her adoption fee will be $200 to help cover her vetting and cost of care while with us. If you are interested in adopting Kami, please fill out our adoption application and email your interest. You may also call us at (352)493-1255. If we do not answer, please leave a detailed message with the name of the pet that you are inquiring about and we will return your call,

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kami, a Chiefland Shih Tzu/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) for sale in Chiefland, or seeking a Shih Tzu/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog from a breeder in Chiefland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chiefland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chiefland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) breeders who help with Shih Tzu/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chiefland paves the way for another one to be saved.
