Scooter is a highly social, people-pleasing canine who will draw you in with his happy-go-lucky style, but it’s his adoring, you-are-my-whole-world devotion that will keep you hanging around. A fair-even mix of mellow cuddle bug and man-about-town sociability, Scooter is also an intelligent and loyal dog who is attentive to humans, responsive to direction, and quick to please when he knows what is expected of him.
Curious, comical, active, resourceful, and extremely playful, this always cheerful and easy-to-please boy needs a home with family members prepared to meet his lively and youthful energy with daily physical exercise and mental stimulation. His exercise needs can be met with leashed walks, interactive play sessions in a fenced yard, and outdoor adventures alongside family members who he will be utterly devoted to. Carefree, fun-loving, and ready to play at a moment’s notice, Scooter loves bones, balls, stuffies, playing fetch, wrestling, chasing, and of course, treats of any kind.
It’s not all fun and games with this guy though. Scooter takes his job as sidekick and companion quite seriously too. Faithful and true, he lives to please and performs duties asked of him with eager enthusiasm. Sweet, sensitive, and gently affectionate, he delights in giving kisses and fawning over his family members. Confident and self-assured without being pushy or demanding, Scooter meets new situations and challenges with a spunky, can-do attitude. Whether frolicking with dog pals or kids---he is great with both---or meeting new people, Scooter is friendly and welcoming, greeting those he knows with wagging tail and engaging smile.
Scooter is best suited for a home with a moderately-active lifestyle. A structured environment, sound leadership, and continued training and socialization will help to ensure his on-going success as a calm, obedient, and well-mannered canine companion and family member. For the responsible, active, and caring owner looking for an affectionate and extremely well-rounded companion to share lively adventures outdoors and leisurely couch-time indoors, Scooter’s a perfect fit.
Scooter currently resides in a home with one of our foster volunteers and other housemate dogs. You can meet him at our regular adoption events and by pre-arrangement with approved Adoption Application. You can also contact us by e-mailing info@monroespca.org.
