Misty's Story...
Name: Misty
Color: Cream and Grey Point
Breed: Domestic Shorthair/Siamese Cat mix
Gender: Female
Age: 7 Years
This beautiful girl is Misty and she is searching for her loving forever home.
Big fan of: Camping out on her owner’s lap to be pet.
Not a fan of: Dieting, but it is necessary for Misty. She is overweight and will require a home that will dedicate itself to helping her shed those extra pounds.
Special features: If you are over the age of 55 please ask about our Young at Heart special which applies to animals 5 years or older.
Dream Home: Misty is not a fan of her own kind and needs a home without other cats. Given her timid nature, she also needs a home without any dogs because she finds them overwhelming. She is gentle enough that she could potentially do well with older children who will be patient with her as she gets comfortable in her new environment.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Misty, a Bellingham Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Bellingham, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Bellingham.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bellingham already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bellingham breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bellingham paves the way for another one to be saved.
