AVAILABLE 05-17-14 On 05-11-14, this small black and tan Hound Mix was walking along the road when a very kind man found her and brought her to the Animal Shelter where she would be safe. Gloria has a fantastic smile - she curls her upper lip and shows all of her teeth; if you didn't know better one would think she is snarling, but it's just a big old smile. Gloria isn't very big - probably weighs about 25lbs. She might have a little Fox Hound in her. She's a sweet, friendly, loveable girl who we have found to do well with other dogs. Unfortunately, Gloria tested positive for heart worms which is quite treatable, but can be costly. The kind gentleman who found Gloria and some of his friends are willing to help with the cost of the heart worm treatment for Gloria, but she needs a home in which to recuperate during the treatment. If you feel you might be able to provide a foster home (or adoptive home) for sweet Gloria, please either come to or call the Shelter in Elizabeth City as soon as possible - 252-338-5222.
