Trudie's Story...
Say hello to Trudie, a mini dachshund girl weighing about 9 pounds. She is about 18 months old and is incredibly sweet and special. Trudie is called a double-dapple, a pattern on a dachshund that can lead to disabilities, and this young girl was born blind. Even though she is blind, Trudie is incredibly smart and has no idea that she is missing out on anything! As with most dogs born blind, Trudie's other senses are very acute and she is very clever. In her foster home, she has learned to use a doggie door and knows her surroundings very well. She loves to play with other dogs and to get cuddles. Trudie is truly one of a kind. We are seeking a dachshund experienced home with lots of love to give this very special girl. Her adoption fee is $300.00. If you are interested in adopting this dog, please complete an adoption application at You will be contacted within 24-48 hours to answer any additional questions you may have regarding the dog and the adoption process. Thank you for your interest!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Trudie, a Henderson Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Henderson, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Henderson.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Henderson already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Henderson breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Henderson paves the way for another one to be saved.
