My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sebastian 1 yr old male red tabby Maine Coon

This young teenage boy came from a shelter where he was left by an owner moving into assisted living. He was shy and scared in the shelter and despite his striking looks was not going to be put up for adoption. When we got him his ears were down in fright and he ate and drank and used his box but was not interested in anything more. Now when we pet him he relaxes loves it and rolls to offer his belly but when we are not touching him he still is shy and wary about the world. Something really really scared him.

You know the red boys- they are known for being great mellow, lovebug, goof balls. I always try to take them because I love them and they have such a following of would-be-adopters in the world. I know Sebastian will grow into his heritage but right now he is not ready to be a goof ball. He needs a home with patient loving gentle folks who will let him recover his kittenish sense of fun at his own time. He is doing well and coming along nicely but he needs more time. I have only had him about 6 weeks. His surrender paperwork said he had lived with other cats and that he liked being held. ( He is a baby) He was previously neutered and already 13.44 pounds in the shelter. He will be BIG and gorgeous. Maine Coons keep growing bigger up into their third year.

Here is his shelter video these nice shelter workers knew would make me say "Yes of course I want to take him.!! " Tony was his shelter name.

He eats wet and dry food and is litterbox perfect.

His foster mom is Harriet in Santa Cruz.
